When Choosing a Career, Consider Being a Weakling
By Kirk Miller
"Bullshit", you say. "Maybe", I say again, but let me ad this; The strong can only get weaker because they have the ability to choose the path of least resistance. It is those who are weak that must give up the ties that bind and in the process grow to a strength that previously could not be obtained.
To finish the point I offer some historical evidence. The universe itself was cast out rather violently at its inception, to the tune of a million light-years a second. What would eventually become the human race was cast out of the oceans by what was then a stronger species, the shark. Sure they are loaded with muscle and sharp teeth, but ponder our opposing conditions in contrast to the resistance of the journey. Jesus was cast out. To be sure, no one man has influenced conditions more than He. What would the world be like if he had chosen to be a carpenter full time because he had an affinity for wood? We as Americans (the strongest country in the world) were cast out by those who were once stronger. Human history is one long line of the strong casting out the weak only to find atrophy in themselves and development in the refuse.
So what can we make of all this? How can we harness the historical powers of the weak and migrant? I don't know. I just wanted something to write about for my first issue. I can assure you though, that it would be easier for me to just do what I am good at, but I don't think identity theft would make me a better person.
